1. Who we are

ScoPick is a digital platform for smart labeling and product information, nutrition-related tracking, AI-assisted reviews, and optional user-controlled health and lifestyle records.

2. Important health and safety notice

ScoPick is NOT a medical provider, healthcare provider, dietitian, pharmacy, emergency service, or official food safety authority. Information shown in ScoPick is provided for general informational and tracking purposes only. It must not be used as medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescription advice, allergy advice, emergency guidance, or as a substitute for professional judgement. Users remain fully responsible for checking product labels, ingredients, allergens, warnings, medical suitability, and professional advice before consuming or using any product.

3. Personal data we may collect

Depending on how you use ScoPick, we may collect and process the following categories of data:

• Account data, such as name, email address, login method, authentication status, and account settings.
• Profile data you choose to provide, such as gender, age-related information, activity level, diet preferences, goals, allergies, lifestyle tags, medications, and health metrics.
• Product interaction data, such as scanned product codes, searched products, viewed products, products added to your intake history, plates, schedules, and quantities.
• Producer, specialist, or professional profile data when you apply for, manage, or use these roles.
• Uploaded or submitted content, such as product images, food images, profile inputs, product information, references, notes, or messages.
• AI-assisted feature inputs and outputs, such as product analysis requests, profile analysis requests, image-based food recognition inputs, generated tags, and matching results.
• Payment and credit-related data, such as Scoop balance, Scoop transactions, purchase records, product identifiers, and payment status. Payment card data is processed by payment providers and is not intended to be stored directly by ScoPick.
• Technical data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, app version, logs, cookies, approximate location derived from technical data, security events, and error reports.
• Notification data, such as in-app notifications, push notification tokens, notification preferences, delivery status, and related metadata.

4. Health-related and sensitive information

Some information you choose to enter may be health-related or otherwise sensitive. You should only provide such information if you understand the purpose of the feature and agree to the processing required to provide that feature. ScoPick does not require you to enter sensitive health information to browse public product pages. If you enter health, medication, allergy, lifestyle, or similar information, you are responsible for ensuring that it is accurate and appropriate to share. ScoPick does not verify the medical correctness of user-provided information.

5. How we use personal data

We may use personal data to:

• Create, secure, and manage user accounts.
• Provide product search, product pages, QR/barcode scanning, intake tracking, plates, schedules, and history features.
• Provide optional AI-assisted features, including product understanding, image-based matching, profile insights, and related explanations.
• Support producer and specialist workflows, including applications, approvals, requests, links, audits, notes, and care timeline features.
• Process Scoops, credits, purchases, refunds where applicable, and payment-related records.
• Send service messages, account emails, verification emails, security alerts, in-app notifications, and push notifications.
• Prevent abuse, fraud, spam, scraping, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
• Maintain logs, debug errors, improve reliability, and develop new features.
• Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, security, and dispute-resolution obligations.

6. AI-assisted features and automated outputs

ScoPick may use third-party AI services or internal scoring systems to analyze product information, food images, profile data, or user-provided text. AI outputs are not medical advice, legal advice, professional advice, or guaranteed facts. You must independently verify important information before relying on it. ScoPick is not responsible for decisions, actions, health outcomes, purchases, consumption choices, or losses based on AI-generated or AI-assisted outputs.

7. Product data, nutrition data, allergens, and producer content

Product information may come from producers, public datasets, automated tools, AI-assisted extraction, or manual entry. Product labels and official manufacturer information should always be checked before consumption. Producers and other submitters are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and update of the information they submit.

8. Sharing personal data

We may share personal data only where needed for the operation of ScoPick, including with:

• Hosting, database, storage, email, analytics, monitoring, security, and infrastructure providers.
• Payment providers for purchase processing, fraud prevention, accounting, refunds, and dispute handling.
• AI service providers when you use AI-assisted features that require processing of submitted content.
• Push notification and mobile platform providers for delivery of notifications.
• Specialists or users only where a user-controlled specialist connection, request, or permission exists.
• Authorities, courts, professional advisers, or other parties where required to comply with law, enforce terms, protect rights, or respond to claims.

9. International transfers

Some service providers may process data in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, we aim to use appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms. No online service can guarantee that all processing will remain within one country at all times.

10. Cookies and similar technologies

ScoPick may use cookies, local storage, session storage, security tokens, and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, protect against abuse, support timezone handling, secure forms, maintain sessions, and improve the service. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may break account, security, or tracking features.

11. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including account operation, service delivery, security, legal compliance, accounting, dispute handling, backups, and fraud prevention. Some data may remain in backups or logs for a limited period after deletion. Where legal, tax, accounting, security, or dispute obligations require retention, we may keep relevant data for longer.

12. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no website, mobile application, database, network, AI system, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your login credentials, devices, email account, and any information you choose to submit or share.

13. Account and privacy requests

You may contact Scopick at contact@scopick.com to request account deletion. Some information may need to be kept for legal, security, accounting, dispute-resolution, or service-integrity reasons. Information already shared with a connected specialist, producer, payment provider, or other third party may be subject to their own legal, professional, or record-keeping obligations and may not be fully controlled or deleted by Scopick. Scopick may not be able to delete information that must be retained by law or that has already been independently recorded by third parties.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of ScoPick after changes means you acknowledge the updated Policy, where permitted by law.
